About Us

New Harvest Christian Fellowship

NHCF is headquartered in Norwalk, CA, an inner city suburb of southeast Los Angeles, known for a high rate of drug related crime and gang activity.

NHCF, a worldwide ministry, reaches out to the community through numerous outreach services and activities. High-risk youth are a priority and focal point of our efforts. We recognize that the youth we reach today will be the leaders of tomorrow.

Youth Programs Include:

The Oneighty serves over 2,800 youth, age 13-22, representing over 85 public schools. Teenagers and young adults gather together for games, a live DJ and concerts, food, video arcade games, and a skate park, all free of charge. Oneighty offers an eight-week discipleship course that concludes with graduates taking a vow of abstinence until marriage, and to remain drug and alcohol free. Through live dramas and teachings, youth are offered real life solutions for the problems they face. Free transportation is provided.

Other weekly youth ministries are the Heir Force, Royal Rangers boy's program, and Missionettes girl's program, serving grades K-12. These ministries include fun-filled activities that build character and self-discipline, and stimulating environments that draw children and help develop individual gifts and abilities. Because children experience fast moving multimedia presentations and a variety of great review games that reward participation and encourage learning, program completion is accomplished.

A full-service school, grades K-12, and a state licensed pre-school promotes educational advancement through encouragement and character development. Children of widows and the fatherless whether by death or incarceration, with insufficient income, are able to attend our private school. Parents that cannot afford private school can participate in our co-op program where they can volunteer their time in exchange for tuition. Because of this, we've seen students once deemed as “hopeless cases” develop a desire within them for higher education.

Rehabilitation

The Women's Home and Men's Home gives yesterdays hopeless an opportunity to become tomorrow's productive world citizens. The homes are a place where women and men can regain their dignity and find a sense of well-being. Former drug addicts, spousal abusers, neglectful mothers, alcoholics, and those suffering from depression have graduated from the home and gone on to become community leaders, world evangelists, foreign missionaries, and great parents. The homes provide free food and shelter, biblical counseling, a twelve-step recovery, and a high school graduation program. A strict discipline of supervised work, anger management, and coping skills allow for progressive recovery.

Outreach Programs

New Harvest has over 25 years of experience in street outreach and world evangelism. Stepping beyond its four walls a message of hope and faith is taken to inner city neighborhoods and communities known for high crime rates, gang activity, and drug related programs. Our outreach activities extend to streets throughout the world through a fellowship of like-minded team members. Every NHCF church is dedicated to ministering through dramas, live music, testimonies, and one-on-one sharing. As a result, we've witnessed many lives changed for the better.

Part of our outreach efforts include the youth camp and prison ministry. It consists of a core of men and women who faithfully go into jails and youth camps to minister and encourage the incarcerated through the Word of God. Weekly bible studies and literature that foster moral character development are provided to inspire the incarcerated to pursue a better life.

Hundreds of volunteers dedicate their lives to provide the manpower and finances needed to smoothly maintain the numerous programs offered through NHCF. People, who have been served by programs, now provide the heart and personal sense of ownership that is essential for the effectiveness of our outreach and service initiatives.

We acknowledge that combating illiteracy, teen pregnancy, STD's, hunger, poverty, and a broken spirit, to name but a few, can best be accomplished in the lives of those effected by those who have risen from its ashes.
